This morning's seminar included a short technology talk from Bob Cunningham, BT. Bob reminded us of the development in mobile communications and brought us up to date on current projects and near-future mobile technology.
Gary Garnett from Microsoft showed us a range of Business Tools that we probably all have installed on our computers, using Pivot Tables in Excel, the Business Contact Manager in Outlook, Mail merging an html newsletter created in Publisher (via Word) and using Front Page to develop a simple website.
Keith Newton was the friendly face of HM Revenue and Customs, showing us the time and financial benefits of using the online facilities for VAT return etc.
All three presenters were keenly questioned at the end of the meeting, both in the Q&A and also informally afterwards. Many of the issues that arose are the subject of eBusiness Club meetings this autumn. Please book your places soonest... |
