| Event Review - Effective Websites and Why use Broadband? |
Posted: 22-Sep-05
'Great Morning - many thanks' was a comment from one of this morning's evaluation forms. We had quite a small gathering at Three Rivers Golf and Country Club which made for an interesting and informal event.
Geoff Chandler from WebIT4U talked us through getting a successful website, starting from inception through the various processes to launch, and then what? Geoff took questions during the presentation which set the scene for this informal and interactive event. Geoff's presentation is linked.
Adrienne Lowing from Wordsworth talked to us about the importance of web copy. So frequently this element of the website is overlooked due to being too close to our businesses and offerings, Adrienne gave us simple tips to follow. Adrienne has been involved with the creation of the Essex eBusiness Club website and her work is greatly appreciated. Adrienne's presentation is linked below.
One of the presenters failed to show up! This was not the disaster it could have been as in true Essex eBusiness CLub style, an active member and presenter stepped in to fill the slot. Many thanks to John Winterbotham who gave us some pearls about Broadband and ISP's and then opened up the session to be a lively and interesting Q&A.
Joining all of the presenters on the panel was George Boyd Ratcliff of Qube Technology who added valuable content when answering questions on a wide range of web and comms subjects.
Many thanks to Maldon District Council who sponsored this morning's event. |
